God delivered me from an existence that would only end in ruin and death. He drew me by His Holy Spirit into a wonderful church where he had me grow, all the while preparing me to fulfill a call on my life to preach the gospel.

I grew in that church and I did indeed, in God’s time, begin to preach the Gospel. God has truly blessed. I’ve been preaching the Gospel now for over eighteen years. For the last eight at Wayside Southern Baptist Church.

God has blessed me with a wonderful family: My wife Tammy, two sons, Michael and Brian (Dozer) and one daughter Monica. God has blessed us with another family, the Wayside Southern Baptist Church family, whom we have come to love very much.

If I had to choose a few words to describe our Wayside family, the first words would be love and unity. I believe these words indicate the presence of our God in the congregation as well as the individuals.

When all is said and done, it’s all about Him, not me.

I feel like I have “ always” been a christian because I was raised in church by a wonderful Godly woman.

I gave my life to the Lord at a church camp, where my mom had been serving as camp nurse. I was way too young for camp, but not too young to understand that I needed a personal relationship with Jesus.

As many do, I didn’t allow Jesus to be the guide in many of my life’s decisions. I always went to church, but, I didn’t walk as closely with Jesus as I should.

I praise the Lord that He has given me the opportunity to be the Pastor’s wife at Wayside. I have grown so much in the Lord since coming here and allowing the Holy Spirit to have more and more of my life.
I continually pray for more growth and willingness to serve our Lord and Savior.
